Ray Elm Children
and Elders Center: Our
Elders are our link to the past and our children are our bridge to the future.
Bringing them together in the Ray Elm Children and Elders Center in 1999 marked
a great milestone in the Nation's cultural rebirth. The building, with its
central longhouse-like meeting area, its curved wings and magnificent views
over the Nation's ancestral lands, offers educational activities for the young
and arts and crafts and lunch programs for the Elders. The Center sits atop
a hill in the Nation's Village of the White Pines, providing ready access
for Members and physical testament to the vitality of the Oneida community.
The Nation's Early Learning Center is also housed in this building.
