Village of
the White Pines: Building
a new community - in both the literal and figurative senses - was the purpose
behind the Village of the White Pines, the Nation's Member housing initiative.
This residential development, begun in the mid-1990's, provides affordable
housing on ancestral lands, allowing many Oneida Members to live on the homeland
- in some cases, for the first time.
